Description

The bridge and pump, located approximately 20 meters west of the Joiners Arms on Bloxham High Street, was built in 1815. It is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone and features a single keystoned arch with buttresses on either side. Attached to the right side of the bridge is a 19th-century water pump and shaft made of cast iron, which is painted black. The bridge is also adorned with iron railings. The High Street was straightened prior to 1815 by the Banbury and Chipping Norton Turnpike Trust.
