Description
88 Sheep Street is a house that has been converted into two shops and offices. It dates from the early 18th century and was altered in the 20th century. The building features part-rendered coursed limestone rubble and has old plain-tile roofs with brick stacks. It has a three-unit plan with rear ranges and is two storeys and three storeys high. The front, which has four windows, includes a doorway in the second bay, 20th-century shop windows in the first, third, and fourth bays, and tall 20th-century windows on the first floor. The steep-pitched roof has stacks at both ends and to the left of centre. The rear of the building is rendered and includes a small wing that returns from the left, which has a very steep roof, as well as a later three-storey range that runs parallel to the main range. The interior has not been inspected.
