Description
This building is a barn, stables, and farm buildings located approximately 30 meters northeast of Earls Farmhouse. It likely dates from the early to late 18th century. The structure is made of coursed squared marlstone and features roofs of corrugated asbestos and Welsh slate. The buildings form an L-shaped range. The five-bay barn has central opposed full-height doors and slit vents. To the south, there is a short stable section with a slate roof, which is a later addition and has a shallow-pitched roof. To the north, there is a single-storey range with a steep-pitched roof that is probably contemporary with the barn; this section returns at the end to create a three-bay open shed supported by circular rubble piers. Inside, the barn has trusses with tiebeams and collars.
