Description

The Cross Tree is a wall to a mound located on the west side of Islip High Street. It is probably from the late 17th century and is constructed of limestone rubble. The structure features a square, two-tier mound that is supported by two low walls with flat copings. It is likely that this was built to replace a village cross and is included for its group value.
