Description
This outbuilding, located approximately 5 metres northwest of Manor Farmhouse, dates back to the late 16th century and has served as a stable, dovecote, and brewhouse. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled asbestos sheet roof. The building has a three-unit plan and is two stories high with a three-window range.
On the ground floor, there is a flat stone arch over an old shutter, timber lintels above two 18th-century plank doors, an 18th-century three-light wood-mullioned window, and a 19th-century plank door. The first floor includes a late 16th or 17th-century three-light ovolo-moulded wood-mullioned window. Doveholes can be found in the left gable wall. Inside, there are chamfered beams on the left side, while the floor has been removed on the right. The roof features a late 16th-century queen-post structure with butt purlins.
