Description
This is a row of three cottages located on Lower Street, dating from the early to mid/late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble and feature wooden lintels. The roofs are a combination of thatch and plain tiles, with rubble and brick gable stacks. Each cottage has a single-unit plan and stands two storeys high. The Thatched Cottage, situated on the right, is the oldest of the three and has a two-window front with three-light casements and a doorway on the left; it also has a thatched roof with stacks on either side. The other two cottages, on the left, have a lower-pitched tiled roof and display the rear windows of Nos. 1 and 2. The entrance front includes adjacent plank doors and leaded casements. The interiors have not been inspected.
