Description
This group of three chest tombs is located approximately 5 meters southeast of the south porch of the Church of St. Bartholomew in Yarnton. The tombs date from the late 17th century and late 18th century and are made of limestone. The central tomb, from the late 17th century, features a cavetto-moulded plinth and cornice, corner balusters, and fielded panels. It commemorates the Cooper family, with dates of 1699, 1811, and 1814 inscribed. The plain tombs on either side, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, have moulded plinths, with the western tomb commemorating early 19th-century members of the Cooper family.
