Description

The Old Town Hall, now a warehouse, was originally built in 1790 and was resited and rebuilt around 1860. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped slate roof. The building has two storeys and is pedimented, with a five-bay blocked arcade on the ground floor. The first floor has a blocked semi-circular headed window, and the roof includes the base of a cupola. The Old Town Hall was relocated from the Market Place to its current site by the canal around 1860.
