Description

The bridge over the mill stream is a medieval structure, originally built in the 13th century. Although it has been largely obscured by the construction of a 19th-century railway bridge, it is made of limestone and features pointed arches and ribs. Historically, Banbury Bridge was noted for having seven pointed arches, but only the westernmost arch appears to have survived.
