Description

Tadmarton House is a house built around 1830, constructed of brick with an ashlar garden front and a Welsh slate roof. It features two rendered brick ridge stacks and has a double-depth plan in the Italianate style. The house is two storeys plus an attic and has a garden front with three bays. The central bay is highlighted by a pediment and has three arched windows on both floors, while the two side bays each have a single sash window on both floors. The ground floor is accented with ashlar quoins, and there is a flat band between the floors. The deep eaves soffit is supported by brackets. This distinguished small Italianate villa was occupied by Captain W. L. Lampet in 1852.
