Description

Easter Cottage and Number 5 and 6 Church End are two houses, the front part dating to the early 17th century, with a later 17th-century addition to the rear. The houses are constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with gabled concrete tile roofs. A 19th-century brick stack is located on the left end, and a rear ridge stack is made of stone with three diagonal-set brick flues. The layout is L-shaped, with Number 5 and 6 situated to the rear left.

The houses are two storeys and have an attic, featuring a two-window front. Concrete lintels are above the central 20th-century front door and first-floor windows, while timber lintels are above the other first-floor windows. A gabled roof dormer is also present. A 19th-century single-storey service range extends from the right side. A rear range, of two-unit lobby-entry plan, also has two storeys and an attic with a two-window range. It also features gabled roof dormers.

The interior of Easter Cottage reveals stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. Number 5 and 6 have chamfered beams, an open fireplace with a bread oven, a 19th-century quarter-turn staircase with winders to the right, and a collar-truss roof.
