Description

No. 1 Chapel Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels and features a Welsh-slate roof with brick gable stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall. The symmetrical front has three windows and a recessed central doorway with a six-panel door, which is accessed by a flight of steps. The windows are primarily 12-pane sashes, except for those above and to the right of the door, which are blind. There is a blocked doorway at the extreme right, which may have once provided access to a basement. The interior has not been inspected.
