Description
E.C. Wilkes and Sons Butchers and No. 20 Stone Street is a late 18th-century shop pair located in Cranbrook. The building features a rendered front with weatherboarded sides and has a plain tiled half-hipped roof with a modillion eaves cornice. There are tall brick stacks at each end of the roof ridge. The structure stands three storeys high and has three window fronts. The left bay is a full-height octagonal bay with sash windows, while the other windows are glazing bar sashes. The right side has a 20th-century double shop front with an inset central doorway, and the left side features a 20th-century shop front with doubled half-glazed doors set at an angle at the corner of the building.
