Description
The Cottage is a house dated 1817, located on Tanyard Passage in Cranbrook. It is constructed of red brick with rendered bands and features raised imposts and cills. The building has a coped parapet that conceals the roof and an end stack on the right side. It stands three storeys tall with a regular façade of four bays, each adorned with arched window surrounds and gauged arches made of orange brick. Some windows are blocked, including the second from the left on the second floor, the second and fourth from the left on the first floor, and the first and third from the left on the ground floor. The blocked windows have rendered arches. The Cottage has glazing bar sashes with round heads, and there is a panelled door located second from the left on the ground floor, which is topped by a glazed fanlight arch. The ground floor impost block is marked with "R TOOTH 1817."
