Description
The memorial cross to Emily Harrison, who died in 1887, is located about 1 metre east of Christ Church in Kilndown. It is made of wrought iron and stands approximately 2 feet high on a stone footing. The base features scrolled and tendril-like brackets, and there is an inscription that was originally wrapped around the stem, although only part of it remains. The main inscription is on the cross itself, which has flowered terminal mouldings on the cross arms and head. Henry Harrison, the first Vicar of Kilndown, is associated with this memorial.
