Description

This is a house, dating from the early 18th century with evidence of an earlier structure beneath. The ground floor is timber-framed and faced with red brick, with a rendered section and tile hanging on the upper floor. The roof is tiled, with a half-hipped cross wing projecting to the left. The main roofline connects with the roofs of the adjacent buildings to both left and right. Chimneys are located at the rear left and clustered at the right end, and share a stack with the adjacent property, No. 4.

The cross wing has two-light wooden casement windows on the attic and first floors, and a mullioned and transomed three-light window on the ground floor. A boarded door is situated to the right. The main range has a two-light wooden casement window on the first floor and three casements on the ground floor, with a boarded door centrally located to the left, surmounted by a flat hood supported by brackets. The cross wing has a flying freehold relationship with the adjoining property, No. 2, to the left.
