Description

The Wellington Hotel is a building located at No. 84 Mount Ephraim, constructed as a terrace of eight houses between 1873 and 1874, and converted into a hotel in 1876. It features three storeys and attics with a stucco finish and a slate roof that has a series of hips, along with 14 dormers. The building has a bracket eaves cornice and 17 plate glass windows. The two central window bays, the two westernmost window bays, and the five easternmost window bays project from the main façade, each with a hooded balcony on the first floor, reflecting the Regency style. Additionally, there are two bays on the ground and first floors on each side of the central projection. A central glazed porch was added in 1897.
