Description

Vale Towers is a mid-19th century building constructed in the 'Gothic' style. It is situated on London Road and built of Tunbridge Wells stone. The building has an irregular plan with three storeys and a basement. The left-hand side features a three-storey tower with crenellations. The front incorporates a projecting porch with a flight of stone steps leading to street level, and a three-storey tower with stringcourses, one or two casements with hood moulding above. The central portion also has three storeys and attics, with a slate mansard roof featuring two mullioned and transomed dormers. There are two windows on each upper floor, each with a hood moulding. The right-hand portion of the building is set back and includes one mullioned and transomed casement with a hood moulding. Stringcourses run along the facade. A doorcase is set within an arch. The side elevation is constructed of painted brick.
