Description
Richmond Terrace is a terrace of houses built around 1860 in the Italianate style, located on London Road. The terrace consists of four houses, numbered 47 to 50, and features three storeys and a basement. The exterior is partly cement rendered and partly stuccoed, with a total of eight windows. Each end window bay is set in a projecting wing that is slightly taller, with long and short quoins. The slate roof is topped with a balustraded parapet. The windows are sashes, with most of the glazing bars still intact. The end sections have a double sash on the second floor, a triple sash on the first floor, and three sashes on the ground floor. There are balconettes on the first floor of No 48, supported by double pillars. The terrace is accessed by steps leading to the street, which are bordered by iron railings. Nos 47 to 50 form a cohesive group.
