Ephraim Lodge is an 18th-century house that has been altered. It stands two storeys high with attics. The ground floor is made of red brick, while the upper part is tile hung. The building features a mansarded roof with one dormer and a cornice. On the south-west half, there are four sashes with intact glazing bars and one curved bay window on the first floor. The north-east half has a modern red brick projecting front added. Ephraim Lodge, along with Mount Edgcumbe and Mount Edgcumbe Cottage, forms a group.
