Description
Cranbrook Do-It-Yourself Shop and Quilter's Dry Cleaners is a late 18th-century building that was originally a house and is now a pair of shops. It features a mathematical tiled front and is constructed with a timber frame. The building has an eaves cornice and a half hipped plain tiled roof, with a large brick chimney stack located behind the ridge. It stands three storeys tall and has a three-window front, showcasing three different sizes of glazing bar sashes; the largest are in the right-hand bay and the smallest are in the central bay. On the ground floor, there is a single shop front to the right with a half-glazed door to the left, and a double shop front to the left with an inset central doorway. The ground floor to the right is covered by a 19th-century flat canopy that extends over the pavement and is supported by three main columns.
