Description
Clermont is a house that has been converted into an office, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick with tile hung sides and features a wooden modillion eaves cornice beneath a half hipped plain tiled roof, with end stacks. The building stands three storeys tall and has a regular three-window front. The outer bays contain tripartite sashes, while the centre features single sashes that are shallower on the second floor compared to those below. On the ground floor, there are canted bays flanking a panelled door topped with a semi-circular fanlight. The entrance is accentuated by an open pedimented porch supported by columns with fluted capitals. Inside, there is a simple two-flight return staircase.
