Description
Little Swallows, formerly known as Moat Farm House, is a farmhouse that may have originally been a hall-house, dating from the 16th century but clad in the 18th century. It features a timber frame with red and blue brick on the ground floor and tile hanging on the first floor. Some of the framing is exposed with rendered infill on the first floor at the rear. The roof is plain tiled, and there is a large brick end stack on the left that projects with a breast, along with a brick ridge stack located to the right of center. The building has two storeys and a regular four-window front, with two and three-light lattice casements. There is a boarded door with a small flat hood above it, positioned to the right of center. At the rear, there is a part catslide roof and a hipped stair tower dormer.
