Description

Weaver's End is a possible former hall-house that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 15th century to the early 16th century. The building features a timber frame that is exposed, with a red brick ground floor and plaster infilling on the first floor. It includes some curved braces and heavy jowled posts. The roof is plain tiled and hipped, with gables and a stack located at the right end of the ridge. The house has two storeys, with an irregular arrangement of four windows on the first floor and five windows on the ground floor, all of which are casements. There is a boarded and ribbed door on the left, which is sheltered by a hipped 20th-century weather porch. Inside, the substantial timber frame is clearly visible.
