Description
Holden House is a later 18th century house located on the south side of Holden Road in Southborough. It is constructed of red brick set on a stone plinth, featuring painted stringcourses above the ground and second floors. The building has a hipped slate roof with a brick parapet. The facade is three stories high and consists of five bays. The sash windows, which originally had glazing bars, are now missing. A central porch is supported by twin fluted Doric columns and features a round-headed doorway with an inset fanlight. At the north-west end, there is a three-bay ground floor addition. The south-west end includes a later block that contains offices, which has two bays facing south-west and a one-bay ground-floor addition extending beyond it.
