Description

The monument to Howard Ward is located approximately 6 metres west of the west tower at St Nicholas Church. This chest tomb is a late 18th century type, although the exact date is illegible. It features a stone chest with a moulded top, an escutcheon, elaborate corner balusters, and raised and fielded inscription panels, all set on two steps.
