Description
Tudor Cottage is a former toll house that has been converted into a cottage. It was built around 1870 by George Devey in the Vernacular Revival Style. The structure is primarily made of red brick in English bond with grey headers, featuring a timber-framed gable with plaster infill and a tiled roof that includes two brick chimneystacks. The building has one storey and attics. The front displays a timber-framed gable with carved bargeboards and curved braces. The attic features a 20th-century two-light casement window, while the ground floor has a three-light casement window. To the left of the lower elevation, there is a gable with a six-light mullioned window, which incorporates a timber porch that has a gable and six four-centred arches with keystones supported on chamfered piers. The entrance is through a plank door.
