Description
This is a pair of adjacent headstones located approximately 3 meters south of the porch of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. Both headstones date from the late 18th century and commemorate members of the Friend family. They are similar upright sandstone slabs, each standing about 500 millimeters high. The shaped heads of the headstones feature crossed arrows above fielded panels, which are inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. The left headstone records the death of Winifred Drury, while the right one commemorates the death of Martha Drury. The dates of their deaths are not visible.
