Description

This is a house dating from the 16th or 17th century. It is timber-framed and has exposed framing with plaster infill, set on a sandstone base, and topped with a plain tiled roof. The original building comprises two rooms, standing two storeys high on a plinth. A stack projects at the right end. There are two two-light wooden casement windows on the first floor and three on the ground floor, with a rib and stud door in the centre of the right side. A three-light casement window is located to the left of a lean-to addition. The queen post roof structure is clearly visible on the gable ends. A parallel range has been added to the rear of the original building.
