Description

LAMBERHURST THE BROADWAY TQ 6636-6736 (west side) 8/243 Cogger's Farmhouse and walled forecourt (Farm Shop and National Westminster Bank) GV II

House, now shop and office. C17 or earlier. Timber framed and clad with painted brick on ground floor and weather boarded first floor. Plain tiled roof. Lobby entry plan. Two storeys and attic and half-hipped roof with stack to centre right and 2 gabled dormers. Three 3 light wooden casements on first floor and 2 on ground floor to centre and to right, with slightly projecting shop bay to left. Half glazed door at end left and panelled door to centre right with flat hood on moulded brackets. Catslide outshot to rear (part glazed). Red brick wall projecting to right and ramped down to front railings, simple hooped rails with dog rail on stone footings with central single leaf gate.
