Description
House, likely dating from the 16th century or earlier, now used as a shop and offices. The house is timber framed and has red brick cladding on the ground floor, with a sandstone base, and weather boarding on the first floor. It has a plain tiled roof. The house is two storeys high, set on a plinth. The roof is gabled to the right side, hipped and returned to the left, with a stack at the end of the right and a tall, stepped and moulded stack to the rear left. There are two three-light wooden casement windows and a central two-light wooden casement window on the first floor. The ground floor has a three-light casement window to the left and a boarded door in the centre left, with a moulded flat hood above it. A late 19th-century shop front is located on the right, featuring plate glass windows and a central glazed door, all under a projecting fascia. The left return wing is half-hipped and has three warden casements on the first floor, and a segmentally headed three-light casement window on the ground floor, together with a half-glazed door.
