Description
6 and 7 Baker's Cross are a pair of cottages that were originally built in the 16th century and later clad in the 19th century. The cottages feature a timber frame set on a painted brick plinth, with a painted brick ground floor and weatherboarding above. They have a plain tiled roof and a projecting end stack on the left side. The buildings are two storeys high, with an irregular arrangement of windows: two on the first floor and one in the center of the ground floor. The first-floor windows include a casement to the right and a glazing bar sash to the left, while the ground floor has a tripartite sash. The entrance to No 7 is located on the right, featuring a sloping pentice hood on brackets above a panelled door. The entrance to No 6 is found in a 19th-century lean-to extension on the left, which has a small casement area door with a flat hood on brackets.
