Description
This is an 18th-century building in The Pantiles, a row of shops and dwellings. It is three storeys high and has a painted wooden front that is grooved to resemble stonework. The building has a bracketed eaves cornice and pilasters on either side of the front. The original sash windows with glazing bars remain on the second floor. The ground floor now has modern shop fronts, and French windows are present on the first floor. A colonnade extends along the front, featuring four slender columns raised on high plinths, with an iron balcony above. The building is part of a group that includes numbers 2 to 28 (even) and 38 to 72 (even) in The Pantiles.
