Description
No. 43 The Pantiles is an 18th-century shop, built in 1746, located on the southeast side of The Pantiles. It features a curved front, although the glazing bars are missing. Above the shop, there is an iron balcony decorated with an anthemion motif, supported by columns that hold up a curved canopy. The canopy bears a tablet inscribed with "The Music Gallery referred to in the Rustall Manor Act of 1739." This tablet was relocated to its current position from the opposite side of The Pantiles in 1850. No. 33 and Nos. 39 to 43 (odd) form a group with this building.
