Description

The building consists of a barn and an outhouse, located about 30 metres west of Woodsden. It dates from around 1700 and was extended in the 18th century. The structure is timber framed and weather boarded, featuring plain tiled roofs along with lean-tos that have corrugated iron roofs. The barn has a rendered base and a half-hipped roof, with central cart doors and a boarded door in the outshut to the left. Projecting from the left side is a long timber framed range, which is fronted by a lean-to outshut. Inside, the barn comprises four bays with one aisle, and it has inward sloping braces to the main posts on the low side wall leading to a through passage. The roof is a clasped purlin type.
