Description

Japonica Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on the south side of Tonbridge Road in Wateringbury. It is constructed of painted brick and features a slate hipped roof. The building stands two storeys high and has a four-window front with glazing bar sash windows. The entrance is off-centre to the right and is adorned with a unique porch that has a floral fringe made of cast iron. Additionally, there are two blind windows in the upper part of the north wall, indicating that the cottage may have been adapted from a building originally used for a different purpose.
