Description

This is an early 19th-century house and shop. It was originally faced with red brick in a Flemish bond, with some vitrified headers, and has a tiled roof with a large brick stack. The building is two storeys high with attics, and has two windows, with one gabled and plastered dormer window. A brick band runs along the front. The first-floor windows are 3-light wooden casements with rubbed brick voussoirs. The central doorway has a half-glazed door and a flat hood. The right-hand window lacks glazing bars. To the left is a shop front from around 1830, featuring paterae and a moulded architrave. The upper half of the shop window is made up of early 19th-century panes, while the lower half incorporates a GR letter box and two stamp machines. The building has a brick plinth.

Also listed is a cottage, early 19th century, with painted brick and a hipped slate roof. It has a plinth and a band. Casement windows are present. The shop front includes a door to the right. A rear wing is constructed from red brick with grey headers, and has an eaves cornice to a tiled roof with slope stacks. This wing is two storeys and has a four-window range, with garage doors on the left. A modern bay window is located to the left of the centre, and there are two doors on the right. The first floor has sash windows.
