Description
Abbey Cottage, including the forecourt wall, is an 18th-century house located on Swan Street in West Malling. The building is constructed of red brick on a deep stone plinth, with the front covered in stucco and featuring end quoins. It has a tiled roof with end brick chimneystacks and consists of two storeys and attics, with five windows. The roof is adorned with two hipped dormers that have 6-pane sash windows. The main façade includes five 12-pane sash windows with cambered heads. The central entrance features an open pedimented doorcase with a semi-circular fanlight, panelled reveals, and a six-panelled door. The right side elevation is partially tile-hung. The forecourt wall stands about 0.7 meters high and is topped with iron spear railings and urn finials.
