Description

Abbey Cottage and Vine Cottage are a pair of houses located on Straight Road, Old Windsor, dating to the early 19th century with 20th-century extensions. They are constructed of stock brick in a Flemish bond pattern, featuring a low-pitched, hipped slate roof. The rectangular plan includes rear and right-side extensions. The exterior presents a symmetrical four-bay front with two chimneys topped with clay pots. Bracketed eaves soffits are present. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within gauged brick heads. A large gabled porch with arched front and sides, containing fretted decoration, shelters the 20th-century front doors. The interior has not been inspected.
