Description

Rosemary Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with extensions added in the late 18th century and early 19th century, and alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and features hipped and gabled roofs of varying heights. It has a rectangular plan divided into three sections, with a 20th-century extension to the left and rear.

The cottage is two storeys high and has one chimney with clay pots on each section. The windows include sash windows with glazing bars and casement windows with glazing bars. The front of the house, facing the road, has a left section with two bays and a moulded wooden eaves cornice. On the first floor, there are two-light casement windows, while the ground floor features sash windows. To the right of the centre, there is a 20th-century glazed door with glazing bars under a hipped porch. A fire insurance plaque is located on the first floor. The middle section has one bay with three-light casement windows, and the right-hand section also has one bay with a dentilled brick cornice. This section includes a three-light 20th-century casement window on the first floor and a five-light 20th-century square bay window with glazing bars on the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
