Description

The Brassey tomb monument, located approximately 36 metres north west of the Church of St Peter and St Paul, is a tomb monument dated 1891. It is made of stone and features a marble plinth surround and a marble pedestal for the statuary. The corners are chamfered, and the railings have been removed since the last survey. The monument depicts figures of Mary with a kneeling angel before a Cross, along with the inscription, "The Lord watch between me and thee/when we are absent one from another." This tomb commemorates Henry Arthur Brassey (1840-1891) of Preston Hall and his wife, Anna Harriet (1844-1898).
