Description
1-3 Church Row is a row of cottages dating from the late 17th century, located on the north side of Plaxtol Lane. The cottages are built from coursed galletted rubble stone, with some red brick dressings and a plinth band on the ground floor. The first floor features painted weatherboarding. The roof is plain tiled, hipped at the right-hand side, and there is one dormer on the central cottage, which is No 2. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a slightly irregular front that includes five windows. The windows are modern casements. The right-hand cottage, No 1, has a part-glazed door with steps leading up to it, while Nos 2 and 3 have boarded doors, all topped with flat hoods. There are later extensions at the back of the cottages.
