Description
Old Graingers is a house, likely originating as a framed structure in the 16th century, with significant alterations in the 18th century. The ground floor is constructed of red brick, while the first floor is rendered. The steeply pitched, plain tiled roof features an off-centre stack positioned off the ridge at the front. The house has two storeys and three windows. The windows are mostly glazing bar sashes, with a casement window in the centre of the first floor. The ground floor windows are larger. The central boarded door is set within a moulded surround, topped with a flat hood. A modern, single-storey extension was added in the 20th century to the right, and a two-storey extension was added in the 19th century to the left of the original building.
