Description

Lavender Cottage and Buddleia Cottage are a pair of cottages dating from the early 18th century, with an extension added to the right in the 19th century. The ground floor is constructed of coursed galletted rubble stone, while the first floor is weatherboarded. The roof is hipped with plain tiles, featuring a catslide extension to the right and an eaves cornice. A stack is located on the south end of the building, and there are four modern dormers. The front of the cottages is irregular, with a three-window appearance. The first floor has four windows, including casements and a tripartite glazing bar sash window to the left. The ground floor has three glazing bar sash windows, a tripartite window to the left and a segment-headed casement window to the left. There are two boarded doors, positioned either side of the central ground floor window. A datestone, inscribed B R1724H, is located to the left of the right-hand door.
