Description

Duke's Place Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on the south side of Mereworth Road in West Peckham. The building features exposed framing with brick infilling on the left side and plaster on the right side of the ground floor. The first floor is rendered, and the roof is plain tiled, hipped to the left and half-hipped to the right, with a central ridge stack and a stack at the left end. There is a catslide roof at the rear. The cottage has two storeys and four windows, with 19th-century casements; three of these are sliding on the ground floor. There are two boarded sections with small hoods over them, positioned between the windows at either end.
