Description

Hazel Hall is a hall-house dating originally to the 15th century, and subsequently restored. It is L-shaped, with largely 18th-century red brick exterior elevations and a 17th-century wing to the east. The roof is tiled. The west front has two storeys and five windows. It includes modern lattice windows and a hipped-gabled semi-dormer to the left. A central, late 18th-century panelled door is set within a gabled hood supported by brackets, and it has a fanlight above. The north front features a returned gable to the right and a modern, off-centre entrance. Inside, a 16th-century bresummered fireplace has been recently rebuilt in the hall. Traces of medieval paint and decoration remain in one room on the first floor.
