Description

The Old Vicarage is a house, formerly the vicarage, dating to the 18th century or earlier, with a refronting in roughcast and alterations in an early 19th-century Gothic style. The right-hand elevation has red brick on the ground floor, with plaster above. It has a steeply pitched tiled roof and a tall brick chimneystack. The house has two storeys and four windows. A very tall parapet features stone coping and a moulded cornice. Recessed panels are above the first-floor windows, and the first-floor windows have intersecting tracery. The ground floor has French windows with intersecting tracery set in a four-centred arched arcading. A door from the Regency period is located in the second bay from the left, featuring four reed oval panels and an elaborate cast-iron lamp above. A plinth is also present.
