Description

The stable to The Vicarage, which is not included in this listing, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed from ragstone with red brick dressings and features a tiled roof. The building has a blocked oculus and a first floor with a loading door. On the ground floor, there are two cambered window spaces, one blank space, and one window with a sliding casement, along with a central plank door. To the right side, there is a lean-to. Inside, the stable has a collar beam and purlin roof with a ridgepiece. The 19th-century stall partitions are made from reused medieval floorboards. Originally, this stable served the Old Vicarage on the High Street but is now located in the grounds of a late 20th-century vicarage.
