Description
The stable and coach house at The Hermitage is a late 19th-century building. The principal front is constructed of stone rubble with red brick quoins, while the rest of the structure is made of red brick laid in Flemish bond. The front features a hipped stone roof, and the rear has a hipped tiled roof topped with a weathervane that includes an arrow, a bell, and a wooden clock face with four quatrefoils. The front also has a stable door with intricate ironwork, a wooden loft door, a mullioned window, and two double coach doors that are adorned with elaborate iron hinges.
