Description

Dingle Dell Cottage is a house with a 16th-century core, significantly altered and extended in the 18th and 19th centuries. The north front is of red brick with a plain tiled roof, hipped on the left and with a right end stack. A ridge stack is positioned off-centre to the left, while an off-ridge stack is at the rear. The two-storey front has an irregular three-window arrangement, featuring casement windows on the ground floor, many with segment-headed surrounds. There is one blocked window on the ground floor, off-centre to the left. A half-glazed door is located on the right (No. 88), and a glazed door is on the left (No. 89). The south front has a large weatherboarded gable with a first-floor jetty to the left, and a buttressed brick side wall towards the road. The roof slopes down to the right of the south front, revealing a projecting stone chimney breast surrounded by coupled brick stacks.
